Kuini designs and develops custom software solutions for clients across various industries, including healthcare centres, corporate secretarial firms, and other businesses. Your Privacy

While Kuini operates primarily as a technology provider and custom software developer, our systems frequently facilitate live financial integrations, data hosting, and e-commerce transactions for our clients. Therefore, before any business entity is granted access to our live production APIs or transactional software modules, they must undergo a mandatory risk assessment. This policy outlines our procedures for identifying and verifying our clients in alignment with standard Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT) principles.

Know Your Business (KYB) Requirements

For enterprise clients, clinics, agencies, and retail merchants subscribing to Kuini’s platforms or
integrating our transactional APIs, we require the collection and verification of the following
corporate documents prior to activation:

  • Corporate Identity: A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation (e.g., SSM Section 17, Form 9) or business registration documents.
  • Corporate Structure: Documented proof of the company’s directors and shareholding structure (e.g., Superform, Section 58, Section 51).
  • Operational Validation: Verification of the client’s live website, physical operating address, and stated Nature of Business (NOB) to ensure it aligns with acceptable use policies.

Know Your Customer (KYC) / Director Verification

To establish accountability, Kuini requires the identification of the primary authorized personnel
acting on behalf of the business entity:

  • Identity Verification: A clear copy of a government-issued Identity Card (MyKad) or Passport for the primary authorized Director or appointed system administrator.
  • Authorization: A letter of authorization or a signed agreement validating the individual’s right to procure software and transactional services on behalf of the company.

Prohibited Businesses & Risk Assessment

Kuini reserves the right to refuse service, revoke API keys, or suspend software access for entities operating in high-risk or prohibited sectors. During the KYB process, Kuini cross-references the prospective client against our internal risk matrix. We do not provide transactional software infrastructure to entities involved in unlicensed financial services, unregulated money remittance, illegal deposit-taking, the sale of counterfeit goods, illegal narcotics, weapons, or any activities that violate the laws of Malaysia or the policies of our integrated payment gateway and banking partners.

Ongoing Monitoring & API Auditing

KYB and KYC is not a one-time event. Kuini employs continuous monitoring of our software infrastructure and API usage. If a client’s transaction volume, user behavior, or business model drastically changes from their initially declared Nature of Business, Kuini’s compliance team may trigger an ad-hoc KYB review and request updated documentation.

Data Privacy and Security

All sensitive corporate and personal identification documents collected during the KYC/KYB process are stored securely in highly encrypted, access-controlled environments. We act as a Data Processor in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
